Good to see a search consultant leading a session. Lisa, do you promise to send business my way if I attend your break out? ;-)
Looking forward to this Lisa. I hope you'll address page layout for questionnaire responses... there's so much information in these documents. What's the most effective way to make sure your key points punch through? Also hope you'll show some good examples.
cut the amount of copy by 50%. cut all the agency bs cliches. make it more visual. make it all relevant to their business challenge. address specifically how you'll uniquely address that business challenge.
We've got to stop talking to ourselves in these documents... and make them mover visual vs. all the heavy copy. But why is it so damn hard to change them?!
Help!
A top 3 session at the event for me this year... looking forward to this session from Lisa. Yes, I agree with "BW" above... if we come, will you put our agencies into a pitch? ;-)
Awesome session today Lisa. Have you ever seen Allen Weiss' Million Dollar Consulting Book? He advocates estimating value, and asking for one big fee that appears small in relation to the value provided. Do think we should estimate the value we'll be adding in terms of growth? Also, if a firm has in-house research capabilities, do you think a good preliminary research report shows strong value in a pitch, especially if offering competitive insights or consumer behaviour insights that the client won't likely know....some of these new tools can tell a lot! Check out SEMRush, for example...this is one of several tools we use at Tenato.
