Ken Robinson

Ark Advisors

Ken is a founding partner of Ark Advisors. He has over 20 years of global advertising and marketing experience on all sides of the business – as a management consultant, as a client-side marketing decision maker and at agencies. His career includes posts in Los Angeles, New York, London and Western Australia.

Ken started as a global corporate Marketing Director in the home furnishings and luxury goods categories before joining the agency world. He began his agency career in Media, serving first as Media Director at luxury brand agency LD&A in New York. Here he managed the media planning and buying for such brands as The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and Trump. He then moved from LD&A to Ogilvy & Mather where he held the position of International Media Manager on the agency’s largest account, IBM.

Ken then transitioned to Business Development, holding senior management positions at both large network agencies and independent boutique firms. He is highly regarded as one of the industry’s top Business Development leaders.

Before co-founding Ark Advisors, Ken spent three years as Vice President of Roth Associates where he worked on a wide range of domestic and international projects for blue-chip companies including Absolut, Brown-Forman, Coty, L’Oreal, NASDAQ, Nextel, Progressive Insurance, Reckitt Benckiser, Six Flags and Virgin Atlantic Airways among others.

In the past 30 months alone, Ark Advisors has managed agency reviews totaling over $3 billion in combined media billings working with clients including Activision, Adobe, American Eagle Outfitters, Burlington Coat Factory, Carnival Cruise Lines, Expedia, General Motors, GSK, Hallmark, Heinz, Hewlett-Packard, Hotels.com, IHOP, Intel, The New York Stock Exchange and Porsche to name only a few.

Ark Advisors is proud to have been named “Overall Favorite Consultant” in Mirren’s 2009 Search Consultant Review.

Ken is an active member of the national marketing community. He has served for many years as an EFFIE Awards judge and is a frequent industry speaker.

After receiving his BA from Boston University, Ken went on to receive Advertising & Marketing Certification from Cavendish College in London. He is also a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute in Perth, Western Australia.
